EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT - AUGUST 2023

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT - AUGUST 2023

Our Employee Spotlight for August is Jordan Schultz. Jordan has lived in Pittston her entire life and has enjoyed witnessing the city's revitalization over the years. She appreciates the efforts to make Pittston family-friendly and safe. Jordan has been married to her husband, Jake, for just over a year, and they have a furry family member, Axle, a 9-year-old black lab/hound mix. Let's get to know more about Jordan!

AL: How long have you been with Action Lift?

I started in September of 2022.

AL: Briefly, what does your job entail?

My job entails a lot of communication with our customers. I keep an eye on all accounts to ensure daily that we are being paid correctly and on time. I process and clear all payments that come into Action Lift. I create and set up new accounts as requested and process credit applications to consider whether they’re eligible to be placed on account.

AL: What’s your secret talent no one knows about?

Not much of a secret, but I am an avid runner, typically running about 15 miles weekly. I have completed two half marathons since 2021 and plan to run another this coming October. This year, my husband and I have completed four races, including a ½ marathon, a 5K up the ski slopes at Montage Mountain, and a 4-mile run – to which we placed Overall Female and Overall Male. We have at least three more races this year, but no promises that more won’t be added to our schedule.

AL: Regarding successes, which accomplishments are you most proud of?

I am most proud of completing my bachelor’s in accounting. College took me a little longer than the typical four years. So, figuring out what I wanted to do, finishing my degree by going to school full time, interning 20 hours a week, and serving 35+ hours a week was most certainly my most significant accomplishment.

AL: How have you grown professionally while on our team?

Since starting at Action Lift, everything I have learned has been new knowledge for me. Before starting here, I worked at a Public Accounting firm where I interned in the tax department for six months and then worked full-time in their Audit department for a year and a half. Private accounting has been much different and less demanding, but it is still challenging daily.

AL: Tell me something about you that most people don’t know.

When I’m not at Action Lift, I work part-time at a restaurant in downtown Pittston, Rikasa, about three nights a week as a server. I also enjoy all things outside: Running, kayaking, hiking, walking, etc.

Thank you for sharing with us, Jordan!
