AL: How long have you been with Action Lift?

I’ve been with Action Lift for a little over a year now.

AL: Briefly, what does your job entail?

My job entails performing planned maintenance, diagnosis, and repair on lift trucks at various locations in our territory.

AL: Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today?

My father inspired me to pursue my career today, bringing home a broken-down lawn mower when I was a child and showing me the basics of how to make something run. That started my passion for wrenching.

AL: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years, I see myself still fixing forklifts. I hope to buy a large piece of land and build a barndominium.

AL: What best advice can you give someone who just started their career?

The best advice I can give someone just starting their career is there is no such thing as a bad day, just a minor bump in the road. The sun will always rise tomorrow. No sense in dwelling on the negatives.

AL: What are the most demanding challenges you’ve had at work? How did you overcome them?

The most demanding challenge I’ve had at work is learning how to work on older lifts that run the EV100 system. I’ve overcome this by seeking help and advice from fellow colleagues.

AL: When you are at work, how do you motivate yourself?

While I’m at work, I motivate myself by setting goals and working to reach them.

AL: Regarding successes, which accomplishments are you most proud of? My most successful accomplishment was purchasing my first home when I was 22 years old.

AL: How have you grown professionally while on our team?

While on the Action Lift team, I’ve grown professionally and developed better diagnostic skills by working on an array of different brands of lifts.

AL: Tell me something about you that most people don’t know.

Something about me that most people don’t know is that I am an avid gardener.

Nice spotlight, thanks for sharing, Rich!
