EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT - DECEMBER 2024
Our Employee Spotlight for December is Sales Coordinator Jeannie Russo. Jeannie lives in Mountaintop, in a development with great neighbors who look out for each other and help watch each other's dogs. She says that knowing someone is always watching over your property and animals gives you peace of mind when you go away. Jeannie lives with her husband, Sal, and Sheepadoodle, Sadie. She has two stepsons, Salvatore and Jimmy, and two grandchildren. Let's get to know more about Jeannie.
AL: How long have you been with Action Lift?
12 years
AL: Describe what your job entails.
I am a Sales Coordinator for the Allied and Dock and Door Division. I am responsible for entering orders, receiving acknowledgments, coordinating shipments, and constantly communicating with the Sales Representatives to ensure everything is ordered correctly.
AL: Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today? My family and friends. Surrounding yourself with people who work hard and are successful inspires you to do the same.
AL: Where do you see yourself in five years? I see myself working here at Action Lift alongside a dedicated and caring group of coworkers. I have to say Action Lift is the best company ever. I appreciate everything it does for its employees!
AL: What best advice can you give someone who just started their career? Work hard, ask questions, and always double-check your work, and you will succeed.
AL: What are the most demanding challenges you've had at work? How did you overcome them? The constant changes with our big projects. You need to constantly communicate with the Sales Representatives and the Project Manager to be sure the job goes smoothly.
AL: What's your secret talent no one knows about? I don't have any hidden talents. I do enjoy going to the gym and working out. I love to spin, work out on different machines, and do yoga. I also love going on vacation in Lewes, DE. We love walking the trails in Cape Henlopen State Park with our dog, Sadie.
AL: When you are at work, how do you motivate yourself? I take pride in my work and always want to do the best job possible. It always amazes me to see the projects when they are done. All the hard work is worth it!
AL: Regarding successes, which accomplishments are you most proud of? It always bothered me that I did not have the opportunity to go to college. In my 40s, I returned to college and got my associate's degree. I worked hard, received an honors award, and graduated with a 3.9 GPA.
AL: How have you grown professionally while on our team? Working at Action Lift for 12 years has given me so much knowledge and experience that I can handle multiple projects. Learning new programs, like Salesforce, to help manage all our orders and projects is an asset.
AL: Tell me something about you that most people don't know. My husband, Sal, and I will celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary on December 16th. We were married at Sandals in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The weather was perfect, and it was a beautiful wedding.
AL: Which of our 30 Fundamentals is your favorite, and why?
Pay Attention to the Details. I constantly double- and triple-check my orders before sending them to the vendors. One error could cost the company a lot of money. I also like to Go the Extra Mile. We all need to do whatever it takes to get the job done. We must help each other and work as a team to get superb results!
Thanks for the great Spotlight, Jeannie!
