EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT - JULY 2023
Our employee spotlight for July is our first female service technician, Miranda Crothers. Miranda lives in Mount Cobb, where she enjoys the peace of country life. She previously worked as a small engine technician on John Deere machinery. Miranda has three siblings, a twin sister and two older brothers who live with her parents in New Jersey. Let’s get to know more about Miranda.
AL: How long have you been with Action Lift?
I have been with Action Lift for around seven months now.
AL: Briefly, what does your job entail?
My technician job consists of performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting broken-down or malfunctioning equipment at different warehouses.
AL: Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today?
My grandfather inspired me to work hard and pursue a career that challenged me but was rewarding.
AL: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In five years, I see myself with a better understanding and more knowledge of the different types of equipment we work on.
AL: What are the most demanding challenges you’ve had at work? How did you overcome them?
The most demanding part is balancing work you must return to when parts come in and new work and fitting it all in. I’m still working on getting a better way to balance it all.
AL: When you are at work, how do you motivate yourself?
My motivation is the future. Working hard gives a sense of satisfaction, and I enjoy working toward a goal.
AL: How have you grown professionally while on our team?
I think I have developed better time management skills, significantly improved my communication with customers, and relaying the information when I finished the work.
AL: Tell us something that you enjoy doing in your spare time.
In my free time, I like to be outdoors hiking, kayaking, fishing, etc.
