AL: How long have you been with Action Lift?

I am now in my 4th year with Action Lift.

AL: Briefly, what does your job entail?

My job entails diagnosing and repairing electric and IC material handling and aerial equipment.

AL: Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today?

My dad has been a diesel and heavy equipment mechanic for over 30 years, which inspired me to enter the mechanical field.

AL: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I plan to further my career at Action Lift.

AL: What best advice can you give someone who just started their career?

Don't be afraid to ask questions; that is the best advice I can give. It is so much easier to take 5 minutes to ask a question than to perform a task incorrectly or unsafely.

AL: What are the most demanding challenges you've had at work? How did you overcome them?

In-depth electrical diagnostics are the most challenging tasks, but they are also the tasks I enjoy most. The more complex the job, the easier it is for me to put my mind to it and push to accomplish the goal.

AL: When you are at work, how do you motivate yourself?

I enjoy being a mechanic and take great pride in my work, so motivation comes naturally.

AL: Regarding successes, which accomplishments are you most proud of?

My biggest accomplishment is my knowledge of the mechanical field, which I gained early in life. I can go from working on forklifts to over-the-road trucks, dirt bikes, and even race cars.

AL: What's your secret talent no one knows about?

Actually, I am good at cooking.

AL: How have you grown professionally while on our team?

Being able to complete repairs in the field where you don't necessarily have all the resources you would have in a shop setting.

AL: Tell me something about you that most people don't know.

I never had a job that wasn't in the mechanical field.

Thanks for sharing, Jesse!
